Matty Healy Cheated on Ex with Taylor Swift!

It looks like Matty Healy had a change of heart about his ex Ana Salazar,ending in cheating with singer Taylor Swift.

Matty was last publicly linked to R&B singer FKA Twigs for 2 years, breaking up in June 2022. His exes include the Alt-Pop artist Halsey, British models Gabriella Brooks and Meredith Mickelson, Charlotte D'Alessio and a short-lived relationship with Substack blogger and Instagram model Ana Salazar.

Unfortunately, Matty's most recent girlfriend Ana Salazar may have been blindsided by the reports of Taylor and Matty being an item.

Not much is known about Ana, but she owns a Substack website that she posts poetry on regularly and her Instagram page @anapausal has a decent following.

She made a series of now deleted sad tweets on her Twitter account @coolpilled after posting an Instagram story of the quote "I feel as if I was deceived," lyrics from 'A Change of Heart' by The 1975. Ana seemed to be hinting at feeling betrayed by Matty's infidelity.

Taylor Attends The 1975's LA Concert in 2014, Meets Matty Backstage

November 2014: 

Taylor attended The 1975's concert in Los Angeles and shared a video on Instagram of her and Selena Gomez singing along to The 1975's single "The City."

She also posted a photo of Matty Healy on her personal Tumblr, tagging the post, "#thats my favorite band though #WHAT." Taylor wearing his merch starts buzz about a collaboration or new romance in the works.

Matty Healy's Interesting Interview Responses Regarding Taylor Swift

Just a few weeks after their initial meeting, Matty revealed during a radio interview with Shazam Top 20 that he had exchanged numbers with Swift after meeting her backstage at The 1975's concert in Los Angeles.

In the same year, Matty spoke on her in an interview with Q Magazine, saying it would have been "emasculating" for him to date her and that what they had was merely a flirtation.

got on E! News and people were like, ‘Who’s Matt Healy?’ so that was cool." 

"It's just interesting to me how interested the world is about Taylor Swift. The reason I mention that is because if I had properly gone out with Taylor Swift, I would've been, 'Fucking hell, I am not being Taylor Swift's boyfriend. 

You know, ‘‘Fuck. That.’’ That's also a man thing, a demasculinating, emasculating thing." 

Matty Debunks Taylor Swift Dating Rumors, Calls It 'A Farce' 

January 2015:

Matty denied rumors about him and Taylor on the Australian radio show 2DayFM, “It's fake. It's all bloody fake. It's a farce!” He stated.

"We met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way that a lot of people in this kind of world do, and we spoke occasionally. 

She's the biggest popstar in the world and I'm in Australia.There's no relationship or anything happening. It's just funny how people really, really buy into that." 

March 2016: 

However, Matty later backtracked his Q Magazine 'emasculating' response during a 2016 interview with Elle. 

"I have said on countless occasions that I found her to be one of the most gracious, hard-working, creatively gifted, and beautiful women that I have had the pleasure to meet," he said. "I personally have a lot of respect and admiration for her. Why would I not?"

November 2022: Healy reveals he worked on music with Swift for 'Midnights,' but it was scrapped.

Swift's "Midnights" was released just one week after The 1975's fifth album "Being Funny In a Foreign Language." Both were coproduced by Jack Antonoff.

"We actually worked a bit on that, but then the version of it never came out," he said, adding, "It was for reasons that are not to be criticized. She's amazing."

During an interview with Audacy's DTS Sound Space, Healy revealed that Swift heard some of his album in advance, thanks to their mutual friend and producer.

 "She heard bits of it through Jack," he told KROQ hosts Klein and Ally.

Taylor Surprises The 1975's London Audience With "Anti-Hero" Performance 

January 2023: 

Taylor made a surprise appearance at The 1975's show in London, performing her song "Anti-Hero" and a cover of their song "The City." She also took a photo with Matty's mother, Denise Welch, backstage. 

April 5th 2023:

People Magazine reported that Taylor and Joe Alwyn had ended their six-year relationship. A source told PEOPLE the split was largely caused by 'differences in their personalities.'

"They've had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together," says the source, noting that "ultimately" Swift, 33, and Alwyn, 32, "weren't the right fit for one another."

May 4, 2023: Matty performed "She's American" during a concert in the Philippines and allegedly told the crowd "She sure is!" before singing the first verse.

Clearly referring to Taylor. Deciding to add the song back onto the setlist amidst the Taylor rumors caught the attention of many fans.

May 5, 2023: 

Matty flew from the Philippines to Nashville to watch Taylor perform and joined his close friend and fellow musician Phoebe Bridgers on stage the following day.

May 6, 2023: 

The new couple had been seen together for the first time, Daily Mail shared photos of Taylor and Matty arriving at her condo in Nashville around 12:30 AM after her concert. 

May 7th 2023:

Matty was photographed the next morning, grabbing Starbucks with the guidance of Taylor's bodyguard, looking very happy after an eventful late night reunion at his new bae's condo. 

Taylor and Matty Are 'Having A Good Time Hanging Out'

On May 8, 2023, Entertainment Tonight reported that Taylor and Matty are dating and have a history. 

A source told Entertainment Tonight,

"Taylor and Matty like each other. Taylor has a crush on Matty and they are having a good time hanging out. Matty also thinks Taylor is awesome and incredibly talented, too. They dated briefly in the past."

Although Matty, Taylor and their reps haven't confirmed their relationship publicly - the evidence we have so far points to the alleged affair quickly becoming a serious relationship.
