Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York City on March 25th, 2023 and according to police, he's being accused of putting hands on a woman, Grace Jabbari.
Jonathan's representative has responded stating "He's done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up." His attorney Priya Chaudhry has been very vocal about her client being innocent and is confident that he will be vindicated.
Law enforcement sources say the actor was booked Saturday morning on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment. Cops responded to a 911 call for service around 11 AM ET near the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.
Police were told that the alleged victim is Majors' girlfriend Grace Jabbari. The two had gotten into an argument while in a taxi returning home from a bar in Brooklyn.
Sources say police were told the girlfriend saw another woman texting Majors, and she confronted him -- trying to sneak a peek at his phone. The alleged victim claims this got Majors mad, and that he grabbed her hand and slapped her.
Jonathan was arrested on the spot, the victim had visible injuries of a laceration behind her ear, redness and marks to her face. She was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition. Police felt there was enough evidence for probable cause to take him in.
